Biography

Rodney Tom was first elected to the Legislature as a Republican representative in 2002 and served two terms. He switched parties in 2006 and was elected as a Democrat to the state Senate and re-elected in 2010. Then, in December, along with Sen. Tim Sheldon, D-Potlatch, Tom crossed party lines to give Republicans 25-24 control of the Senate and was elected Senate Majority Leader.
